FINSA, a leading developer of industrial parks in Mexico, successfully celebrated the 2025 edition of its Annual Golf Tournament to benefit the FINSA Foundation , bringing together more than 270 participants from the business, financial and industrial sectors.
Established as one of the most important in the country in terms of corporate social responsibility , the sports and networking event managed to raise $8,150,000 pesos , an amount that will be allocated to educational scholarships for Mexican children and young people.
Since its inception, the FINSA Golf Tournament has transcended the realm of sport to become a driving force for social transformation . In its 14 editions, it has established itself as the primary source of funding for the FINSA Foundation , which supports the education of students from preschool through university.
Throughout its 20 years of operation , the Foundation has awarded 4,455 scholarships nationwide, benefiting students from economically challenging communities.
During the 2024–2025 school year alone, 570 scholarships were awarded, 57% of which went to girls , reaffirming FINSA's vision to promote education and inclusion.
According to data published by the SEP, during the 2023/2024 school year, the dropout rate in Mexico in upper secondary education was the highest at 11.3%, so the Foundation focuses its greatest effort on awarding scholarships for high school level (37% for the 2024-2025 cycle) and 40% for university level during the same cycle.
The event featured 108 players, 60 golf clinic attendees, and over 270 guests at the closing ceremony. Collaborators, executives, brokers, strategic partners, and other key industry members gathered to celebrate the Foundation's achievements and usher in a new chapter of growth.
The companies that stand out for their participation as platinum sponsors are: Alfavent, AMP, Aire Proyectos del Golfo, ARENKO, ARTEC, CAGPA, Energía Real, Grupo Constructor AVM, Grupo TI México, ISSA Industrial, MBS, MCL Multiservicios, MUVER and Regio Mantenimiento y Construcciones.
During the check presentation ceremony, the FINSA Foundation presented outstanding results: the amount raised represented a 39% increase in the number of scholarships awarded compared to the previous period.
In addition, new partnerships were announced with the BBVA Foundation and the Drawing a Tomorrow Foundation , through which 119 additional scholarships were awarded, strengthening the reach and impact of the educational program.
Currently, the Foundation maintains agreements with 14 educational institutions in 8 cities and 6 states across the country. Its presence in northern Mexico is particularly strong in Tamaulipas and Nuevo León, and in recent years its reach has expanded to the states of Puebla, Jalisco, and Querétaro. These institutions include UANL, TecMilenio, UDEM Polytechnic, La Salle, UNIVA, and the Northeast University Center.
“At FINSA, we are firmly convinced that our purpose as a company goes beyond industrial real estate development. Through our Foundation, we promote social mobility and create opportunities that transform lives, especially in communities facing the greatest economic challenges. We are deeply grateful to all the participants and partners who, year after year, make this initiative possible and strengthen our impact on education in Mexico,” stated Sergio Argüelles, President and CEO of FINSA.
