Mexico faces a historic opportunity to leapfrog into smart manufacturing, driven by the reconfiguration of global supply chains and the accelerated adoption of technologies such as automation, data, and artificial intelligence. Its consolidated industrial base, specialized technical talent, and proximity to the United States place the country in a strategic position to evolve toward higher value-added production models.
The challenge will be to execute this transition quickly and with a long-term vision, closing gaps in energy, infrastructure, and skills. Initiatives focused on efficiency, resilience, and sustainability—such as those promoted by FINSA—show the way to consolidate Mexico as a key hub for advanced manufacturing in North America.
